Care-a-van program brings experiences to local children's hospitals and nursing homes throughout DFW, and the Richardson Recycles at Wildflower! brings the community together to recycle more than 5,500 tons of recyclable materials annually.

Schools in Richardson, TX

Most children in Richardson attend school through the Richardson school district, with a small portion attending Plano ISD. Richardson educates more than 38,000 students over 54 campuses and has a long-standing reputation for educational excellence and has been recognized at both the state and national levels. The success of the school district comes from the leadership of the Board of Trustees and the professional educators who work to give every child the best education.

 

You may not know it, but Richardson is also a college town, home to UT Dallas. UT Dallas has become one of the best research institutions in Texas with 133 degree programs. Students pursue a variety of studies and interests through a local setting. The university is known for attracting some of the brightest minds in math, science, and engineering, and is also considered one of the top business schools in the state.

 

In addition to UT Dallas, Richland College, a Dallas County Community College campus, is also located in Richardson. As part of the community for over 40 years, Richland has been a great stepping stone for adults looking to continue their education but aren’t quite ready for a four-year option.
